The best way to start your journey is know who you are at your core. You need to understand yourself and your motives. It is essential that you recognize what your value system is, what your believes are, where they come from and how they impact your actions.
If you know who you are and where you are, you may be able to develop an understanding of where you want to end up.
The more we understand ourselves, the more we understand others. If most of us remain ignorant of ourselves, it is because self-knowledge is painful and we prefer the pleasures of illusion. When we begin to see ourselves as we actually are, rather than as we would like to be, then we begin to change.
Like anything in life, you will never master it if you don’t understand why you do the things that you do. Spend more time thinking about how and why you make the decisions that you do, and be prepared to change your approach. You can’t preach integrity if you don’t understand yourself.
Each of us has a unique way of working. The more you know your rhythm and style, the more productive and efficient you can be with your work. And the more productive you are, the more time you will have for the other areas of your life that you may be neglecting.
Summing-up: You’re the best at being you, not a watered-down version of another one. Don’t try to be like anyone else.
